Lydia needed some brand spankin’ new photos for her blog and I was more than happy to oblige. There’s a special place in my heart for creatives and artists in Vienna. The more artists, writers, painters, and creatives I meet in Vienna, the more I realize they pour their hearts and souls into their work and sometimes it’s incredibly hard to step out from behind it and show the world who you are. Mostly because they’re up to their eyeballs in work and also because they’re so passionate about it, it’s hard to step away. So it’s always nice when one of them is lured out from behind their stacks of work, projects, deadlines, etc. and I get to meet them, find out what they’re passionate about, and what makes them keep at it when it seems overwhelming.

Prater Hauptallee, Vienna | Fall Family Portrait Session
Friends and fall colors captured on film make me raise my cup of coffee and say “awwwhhh yiiisssss.” I came to know Sophie through the organization Women of Vienna. She is a sincere, sweet, smart human with a penchant for murder mystery podcasts. Her family is just an exquisite extension of who she is as a person.

Jenn and I have known each other for ages. We went to the same church, worked at the same place, and had some fun slumber parties back in our day. So I was pretty much like a kid in a candy store when she told me that she and her fiancé, Zack, were both going to make a stop off in Vienna during their European excursion. Could. Not. Stop shaking like an excited Chihuahua.

First off, I just want to go on record saying that the sweet personality behind one of the top most highly rated blogs in Vienna, known as American in Vienna has the most beautiful name, Michelle. ;) I got the chance to meet Michelle when I first relocated to Vienna and she has been an endless resource of information, knowledge, and insights on all things Vienna. She is one of the calmest, most gentlest, souls you will ever meet. She also has the patience of a saint, which I must confess, came in handy during her session when I wanted to keep exploring just a little further for the perfect spot for her pictures. Her session began at 5:00 in the morning, and no, there was no typos just now. Five A.M. Bless Michelle's heart.

Mia and I met through the Women of Vienna group nearly a year ago, when she was interested in getting into film photography. We met up for coffee and talked about photography and during that coffee chat I got to know a little more about her. She is a Georgian born soul who married her best friend Jesse and relocated to Vienna. She and I both share a mutual love of food (#foodislife) and she is witty as all get out. She is easy-going and loves to laugh (basically my favourite kind of person) annnnnddd she is the boss lady of miaseilern (of which her food section is my favourite, she's got Austrian recipes on there!).
