When Ben was heading into work one day he looked up and saw “the most beautiful woman” across the way in the same u-bahn he was riding in. He saw her get off the same stop and head into the same place he worked at and after that, he made it his mission to be introduced to this woman. After many attempts he was able to work his way into her good graces and woo her into dating him. A few years later and they were wed in an intimate and simple ceremony in Vienna. November is typically not the most beautiful month in Vienna; the whole month is usually overcast, somber, cold and grey. But Vienna made an exception on the day they said “I do.” The skies parted, the sun shone and it warmed up just for them on day they married. It was literally the best day of the whole month and that, truly, is not a lie. I had brought high ISO film for their day and scrambled at the last minute for film that would be better suited for such a sunny day. It was a wonderful problem to have!
They got married at a city hall and then we all took taxis to the Volksgarten where we watched these two so-very-in-love people dance around while basking in the sunshine. It took a lot for me not to break down and cry. I let out little girl screams in my head with each shot I took. It was really one epic day and these two are one epic pair. Here is the wonderful and beautiful wedding that was Ben and Dunja’s day.
