Vienna, Austria | Courthouse Wedding Portraits

Joshua and Réka reached out to me while they were planning a very simple and quiet morning wedding ceremony at one of Vienna's Standesamt (aka courthouses). They wanted to capture a few pictures of themselves before they went to the Standesamt and had their civil ceremony. I was more than happy to oblige, of course. (I love courthouse portrait sessions!) Joshua met Réka while on tour in Europe and ever since then it was love at first sight for the both of them. It was also clear from the start that they both had met their match. Joshua has a cheeky personality and Réka is impeccably calm and sweet. Both her sweetness and his spice are perfectly balanced out in their relationship. I could clearly see that as we wandered around Margareten for their session and I heard them bantering back and forth while at the same time showing concern for one another. It made it hard for me to suppress my girly sighs. I think my favorite moment from their session is when I asked them to dance. Mercy. It was like watching a lovely dream. It was so quiet and the light was so perfect and the two of them were so clearly perfectly matched, that it was just so marvelous to see and witness. Anyway, enough about me gushing. This is their early morning December portrait session in the heart of Margareten.
