Paige and I first met at a mutual friend's going away party and had a good ole' chat over some salsa and guacamole dip. So when I received an email from her looking to book an engagement session I couldn't have been happier. I love it when people I've met before book with me! Mostly because they've met me and know how quirky I can be, and yet STILL decide to let me photograph a special moment. It's the best.

So a long, long time ago, Chanae's parents and my family ran in the same circles and knew each other. Fast forward a few years later and I find myself working in a department at the Florida Institute of Technology with Brandon. I later met his-then girlfriend who worked in the same department as me and we attend a few conferences together and find out that we were probably moments away from meeting each other when we were kids (life can have such a sense of cheekiness)...
One sunny day, in Cocoa, Florida I found myself walking by this secret hidden gem of a location in the middle of the Historic Cocoa Village, known as The Porcher House. The Porcher House was built in 1914 and was not only a home, but a hotel at one time way back when. Now, it is currently on the National Register of Historic Places and open to the public to visit...
To say I was excited when Katharyne of Katharyne Dunn Photography contacted me saying she loved my work and wanted to book me, would be a huge understatement. I'm pretty sure I danced around the room while looking at my tuxedo cat and repeatedly asking him "can you believe another photographer likes my work?!" It's a huge honor when that happens....
