Eddie had emailed me telling me that he and his girlfriend Faith were flying to Paris for vacation. Only they weren’t. They had a layover in Paris, but their end stop was actually in Vienna (something Faith didn’t find out until they landed in Paris), a city they both had wanted to see. They met through mutual friends and (if I recall correctly) they both were dating other people at the time. Given their friend’s close circles and a bit of time they both were soon back in touch with each other. Eddie confessed to me that he really liked Faith and when they both were at a Billy Joel concert he asked Faith to be his girlfriend while the song “Vienna” played in the background.
The days are getting longer and it’s beginning to warm up here in Vienna, but I’m reminiscing back on one of my favourite winter family sessions. Kate reached out to me shortly after she and her husband Greg, and two boys, Conor and Ryan, and their super cute Papillon, Scout, moved to Vienna. She confessed it had been a few years since they had family photos taken and she wanted some new ones now that they’ve settled into Vienna.
Friends and fall colors captured on film make me raise my cup of coffee and say “awwwhhh yiiisssss.” I came to know Sophie through the organization Women of Vienna. She is a sincere, sweet, smart human with a penchant for murder mystery podcasts. Her family is just an exquisite extension of who she is as a person.
This styled shoot was such a labor of love between myself and all the vendors who participated. The vision for this entire shoot must be credited to Melanie of Wed & Honey. I was at first a little hesitant about the theme but she knew exactly what she was doing. Her style boards and ideas were unique and so different and it’s really no surprise that it got featured on Inspired By This! I am smitten by this stylized shoot and I love the color and life in it! It makes me happy just looking at it and hopefully when you see the images you will also feel just a little brighter!
Jenn and I have known each other for ages. We went to the same church, worked at the same place, and had some fun slumber parties back in our day. So I was pretty much like a kid in a candy store when she told me that she and her fiancé, Zack, were both going to make a stop off in Vienna during their European excursion. Could. Not. Stop shaking like an excited Chihuahua.
