The days are getting longer and itβs beginning to warm up here in Vienna, but Iβm reminiscing back on one of my favourite winter family sessions. Kate reached out to me shortly after she and her husband Greg, and two boys, Conor and Ryan, and their super cute Papillon, Scout, moved to Vienna. She confessed it had been a few years since they had family photos taken and she wanted some new ones now that theyβve settled into Vienna.
t was such a cold and blustery day on the day of the Ciuti family portraits but we still had a blast and, not to mention, an incredible view of Stephansdom! The Ciutis were getting ready to pack up and relocate to Algeria but before they left they wanted to capture a few precious family pictures to remember their time in Vienna, Austria. So we clambered up on their roof and got some INCREDIBLE pictures of them with Vienna's most iconic building in the background and then ran around to some of their favourite spots in Vienna to capture some more family moments.
I was referred to Ashley's large family by Chelsea of Love Vienna Photography. Chelsea was going to India on a business trip and wasn't able to photograph this amazing family of fifteen so she referred them to me. Usually I approach most large family portraits with a bit of apprehension. You have to make sure everyone is strategically placed and staggered correctly. Then you have to make sure everyone is looking at your camera. Then you have to make sure everyone is smiling and not blinking. And when you have to do that all at the same time for a bunch of people it can be a little overwhelming. But this family was the dream team.
