They say Paris is the 'City of Love' but I'm pretty certain that Vienna could give it a run for it's money. I've heard stories from so many people telling me how they met in Vienna and the magic of Vienna made them fall in love. And Gabriela and Gerhard's story is no different. They met each other in Vienna and over the course of a few years built a wonderful life together. An integral part of their lives is a tiny little, magical, bubbling, joyful girl named Emma.
Phil and Elaine have been in Vienna for a few years now and wanted to get some pictures of themselves in the place that they've now grown to call home. We wandered around Stadtpark in the semi-cool summer weather capturing them in the heart of Vienna. In between shots I got to learn a few interesting things about them. Phil and Elaine actually met on match.com (yay for technology!) and upon meeting knew they had finally found their soul mate. They're an adventurous couple and they had eloped to Vermont to get married in 2009 and a few years later found themselves in Vienna both working at the IAEA, not too far from each other.
I was in desperate need of a couple for a television show and Lauren and Mateusz contacted me immediately and said they were willing to be that couple. So we ran around Schloß Schönbrunn and got a few pictures of them just soaking up each other's presence. It took a minute or so to get comfortable being filmed during our shoot but after a while we didn't even notice them. I found out that they both met at a lake and it was love at first sight. It was also pretty evident that they were smitten with each other, which makes my job so much easier. Photographing people when they're around people they love is the best job ever. I could do it all day.
Costin and Reghina met while in school in Romania through the same school club, but it was only after a conference which they both attended when they both started to think that perhaps there might be something a little bit more between the two of them. Fast forward a few years, a relocation later, they're both here in Vienna and still madly in love.
On June 2nd, 2015 two people, who were, and still are, madly in love, got married in Vienna Austria. Veronica was from Canada and Ben was from Australia. They both found each other while working in the same restaurant and were, from what I could tell, inseparable since that moment. They spent the next few years getting to know each other and traveling the world together. Literally, the globe. They've been to Thailand, England, Australia, Canada, Germany, Hungary, the list goes on and on. These two are lovers of seeing the world and each other and mercy....it shows.
