Balthasar Coffee Bar, Vienna | Theresa Pewal Portrait Session

Balthasar Coffee Bar, Vienna | Theresa Pewal Portrait Session

I found/discovered/stalked Theresa through social media. She is the only other film portrait photographer that I know of residing in the heart of Vienna. Originally from Carinthia, Austria (which is known for its amazing slopes in the winter and its sparkling lakes in the summer) she relocated to Vienna to study music. While studying, she took up digital photography and then transitioned into film photography and has been doing it ever since; her work is inspiring and evocative. Seriously. She's been featured a number of times on Carmencita's "Best Of" and her Instagram is drool worthy.

Vienna, Austria | Melinda of NativeFingerprint

I met Melinda through a blogging group when she launched her website on how to turn a space into a home. I was mesmerized by her website name and even more with her ideas and talent for taking a space and turning it into something beautiful. (Seriously, you must go check out her site and additionally, her ideas). I was even more delighted to meet her in person during her session. I didn't have to work hard at all to get her to smile; she laughed at practically everything I said and was so easy to photograph!

Palmenhaus Schรถnbrunn, Vienna | Family Session

I just can't even. And I don't say that lightly. This session had me in tears, in a good sobbing kinda way.
First some back story; so I met Christina before both my feet even touched Austrian soil. I had posted a question in an online forum before I had moved to Vienna and she was one of the first people to respond. She was also one of the first people to invite me out to dinner when I got to Vienna. She's basically the first friend I had in Vienna. So I feel it's safe to say that she was my first girl crush I had here cause she was nice, helpful, and above all, caring. (How can you not crush on a person like that?) Our friendship was further solidified through an organization called Women of Vienna (this organization is a reoccurring theme in my life) and once I found out she also had some serious appreciation for Mexican food...well we're just friends for life now. #mexicanfoodloversunite

Coffee Pirates, Vienna | Anastasia of Bumaga

World, I would like to introduce you to Anastasia Popova of Bumaga. I first discovered her on Instagram through the hashtag #womenofvienna and ever since then I was hooked on her work. I appreciate all things beautiful and graceful and elegant and Anastasia's work is no different. Her calligraphy is the kind that makes angels sing and unicorns jump over pots of gold. Unlike the majority of calligraphy artists I follow on Instagram, Anastasia lived in my neck of the woods, right in the heart of Vienna. And I was fortunate enough to meet her in real life last year at a Christmas Market in Vienna.

Schloss Hetzendorf, Vienna, Austria | Kelly and Georg's Wedding

Kelly and Georg met on the beaches of South America where they both happened to be invited to the same party one night. So he took the love of his life with him and they got married in a castle in Vienna.
