Aly reached out to me to book a photo session in 2017 and years later she emailed me again to get updated family photos while her parents, her sister, and her kids were visiting Vienna. Repeat clients are such a blessing; repeat clients with big, fun, and beautiful families are just the icing on the cake!

We met up for coffee and talked about photography and during that coffee chat I got to know a little more about her. She is a Georgian born soul who married her best friend Jesse and relocated to Vienna. She and I both share a mutual love of food (#foodislife) and she is witty as all get out. She is easy-going and loves to laugh (basically my favourite kind of person) annnnnddd she is the boss lady of miaseilern (of which her food section is my favourite, she's got Austrian recipes on there!).

I was mesmerized by her website name and even more with her ideas and talent for taking a space and turning it into something beautiful. (Seriously, you must go check out her site and additionally, her ideas). I was even more delighted to meet her in person during her session. I didn't have to work hard at all to get her to smile; she laughed at practically everything I said and was so easy to photograph!

I appreciate all things beautiful and graceful and elegant and Anastasia's work is no different. Her calligraphy is the kind that makes angels sing and unicorns jump over pots of gold. Unlike the majority of calligraphy artists I follow on Instagram, Anastasia lived in my neck of the woods, right in the heart of Vienna. And I was fortunate enough to meet her in real life last year at a Christmas Market in Vienna.
